Dixie Speedway to host final leg of Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals Series
Saturday May 10th

WOODSTOCK, GA (May 4, 2014)—After a successful 45thseason official opening event
last Saturday, Dixie Speedway is gearing up foranother huge night of racing action
as the Ray Cook-promoted Old Man’s GarageSpring Nationals Series presented by
Schaeffer’s Oil rolls into the Woodstock,Ga. speed-plant for a $6,000-to-win, 50-lap
Super Late Model event.

In the first event to kick off the season at Dixie Speedway back on April 12th, Jason
Hiett of Oxford, Al. claimed the$2,000 payday in his first-ever trip to the
historical track. Hiett took thevictory over Tennessee’s Todd Morrow, Georgia’s Tony
Knowles, series regularDonald McIntosh of Dawsonville, Ga. and Wisconsin’s Pat Doar.

This will mark the final points paying event on the10-race mini tour promoted by
racer Ray Cook on Saturday Night May 10th and the championship awards presentation
will take place immediately followingthe main event. During last year’s visit, Steve
Casebolt of Richmond, Ind. took the $6,000 payday en route to the Spring Nationals
Series championship, which he would claim a week later in a rain-delayed event right
up Interstate 75 at Boyd’s Speedway.

The event at Dixie Speedway will be the third event of a triple-header weekend for
the series which will take them to Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tenn. on
Thursday Night May 8th for a 40-lap $4,000-to-win race and the series will then move
to Boyd’s Speedway inRinggold, Ga. for another 40-lap $4,000-to-win race before
heading South toDixie.

Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn. leads the pointstandings by just 34 markers over
Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, Ga. MichaelChilton of Slavisa, Ky., Stacy Boles of
Clinton, Tenn. and David Payne ofMurphy, N.C. round out the top-five in the point
standings. Completing thetop-ten in the points heading into the final three series
point races includeEric Wells of Hazard, Ky., Kenny Collins of Colbert, Ga., Austin
Smith ofCedartown, Ga., Victor Lee of Danville, Ky. and Mike Marlar of Winfield,
Tenn.

On Saturday Night May 10th at Dixie Speedway,the pit gates will open at 4:00 pm,
grandstand gates open at 5:00 pm and hotlaps will roll out at 6:30 pm EST. The Econo
Bombers, Super Bombers, PonyStocks, Street Cruisers, Crate Late Models and Steel
Head Late Models will be the support divisions for theevent. Adult General Admission
is $20.00 with the Tailgate/Trackside sectionbeing $25.00 and Adult Pit Passes

The series will utilize the Hoosier 1350, 1600 & LM40plus the American Racer 48, 56
compounds for all three races. Only thesecompounds will be allowed on all four
corners.
