Demolition Derby Cars and Schaeffer’s Southern National Series Highlight Double Header    This Saturday and Sunday Night, July 21 & 22 At Dixie and Rome Speedways

 

Woodstock,Ga. Dixie and Rome Speedway will host a big Double Header weekend of action this Saturday and Sunday night July, 21st &  22nd.

 

Saturday night July 21, Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia will host a Fan appreciation night with a Demolition Derby along with a Full Stock car racing program including a Super Late Model main event plus Limited Late Models, Crate Late Models, Econo and Super Bombers, Pony Stock,  and Cruisers.

 

Adult grandstand admission for Dixie on Saturday is only $10, ages 9-17 are $6 and kids 8 years old and under are free. Trackside admission is $20 for adults and $11 for kids 11 years and under. Pit Passes are $25. Gates open at 5 pm, Races start at 7:30 pm. Sunday night, July 22 the action moves to Rome Speedway in Rome, Georgia for the Schaeffer’s Southern National Series Super Late Model Championship paying $5,300 to win. Some of the best drivers in the region are expected to roll into the big half mile for the biggest race so far this season.

 

 

 

Current Schaeffer’s Southern National Series Points leader and 3x Series Champion Chris Madden will face the World of Outlaws drivers Clint Smith, Shane Clanton and Dale McDowell. Regional drivers Tony Knowles, Vic Hill,  and Billy Ogle Jr. are expected to challenge the Hometown Heroes; Michael Page, Dale Thurman, Chip Brindle, Tyler Millwood, and Luther Jenkins, who are currently the top 5 in the Points Championship at Dixie and Rome Speedway, plus 40 more from 6 states.

 

There will also be action in the Limited late Models, Crate Late Models, Econo and Super Bombers plus Pony Stocks and Cruisers. The total purse for the evening is over $30,000.

 

 Pit gates open at 4pm. Grandstand gates open at 5 pm. Races start at 7 pm. Adult grandstand admission at Rome is $20, ages 9-17 are $6, and kids 8 years old and under are free. Trackside admission at Rome is $25 for adults and $6 for kids ages 9-17, Pit passes at Rome are $30.
