May 11, 2009 - Justin Shipley Takes Econo Bomber Championship Before Rain Ends the Night

Woodstock, GA.  Rain storms forced the cancellation of races at Dixie Saturday, but not before Justin Shipley took his first win of the season in the Economy Bomber Championship.

Jeff Jacobs took the lead at the start and held it for the first four laps when the caution came out for the cars of Jamie Garner and Johnny Morrison. Shipley made his move on the restart and took the lead from Jacobs. Ronnie Sanders  made efforts to challenge Shipley for the lead but was not able to make the pass. On the final lap, Sanders and driver John Binger brought out a caution and both were sent to the rear.

Shipley was able to hold the lead for the win. Second – fifth place finishers were Jeff Jacobs, Daniel Brewer, Johnny Morrison, and DJ Murdock held on for fifth.
