Dixie Speedway Makes Donation to the American Red Cross
Woodstock, GA.
Dixie Speedway announces a donation will made to the American Red Cross in light of the deadly tornado that traveled across the state on April 27. Part of the proceeds from the May 7th event at the track will be used for the disaster relief efforts in Georgia.
€œOur thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this tragedy,€ said track owner Mickey Swims.
President Obama has approved a federal disaster declaration for Bartow, Catoosa, Dade, Floyd, Polk, Spalding and Walker counties. Residents and business owners in these counties who sustained losses can begin applying for assistance by registering online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY) for the hearing and speech impaired. The toll-free telephone numbers will operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
