Dixie Speedway's 47th Season will kick off with practice for all divisions Saturday night March 5th!
Historic Dixie and Rome Speedways Announce Fun Filled, Action Packed, Excitement for 2016!
Woodstock, GA. Twenty six events await the fans and race teams that attend Dixie & Rome Speedways this season. Purses and awards of $500,000.00 combined with many special events and added attractions will provide something for everyone in 2016.
“We’re gearing up for a big season at Dixie and Rome in 2016. The support of our many fans and race teams over the past 47 years is what allows us to put together a season like this for them. Everyone I talk with is excited about racing season getting started. I truly believe 2016 will be a great year,” said Mickey Swims, President of Dixie and Rome Speedways.
The tracks will offer a strong line up for fans in the upcoming season headlined by the weekly “full racing program” that consists of the Super Late Models, Steelhead Late Models, Crate Late Model division, Super and Econo Bombers, and the brand new Street Stinger class. Most Saturday nights fans will see over four hours of high speed action with adult grandstand admission just $13.00 and children 8 years old and under are admitted free of charge.
The Pre-season racing action at Dixie will begin with a practice night for all divisions Saturday night, March 5th. Admission is free in the grandstands. Then the Historic $5000 to win Southeastern Classic will kick off the season on March 12th followed by the 15th Annual Spring Championships for all divisions on Saturday night, April 9th. Rome Speedway will host the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series $4000 to win along with a full race program on Sunday night April 24th.
The official season opener and first points race of the season will take place Saturday night, May 7th. Most nights Grandstand admission is $13 for adults, ages 9 to 17 is just $6 with children 8 years old and under free. Tailgate is $20 per adult and Pits $30 on most nights.
